Haiku on Photographs Birds and Winter Scenes

Adding Haiku to pictures in short powerful descriptive words to explain and express what I was seeing as well as feeling about these beautiful moments in time as I captured these  images.

I was watching a YouTube video from John Muir Laws on adding Haiku to Nature Journals this morning. I have been in a little of a writers block as well as deciding how to organize all my recent nature Photography in themes to add posts to this blog.

Haiku in Japan is mainly about Nature so I feel this format fits my efforts to explore ways for my Digital Nature Journals creations. I use the basic five-seven-five syllable writing for Haiku but try to have some rhythm with my words as well as enhancing the image with the short and often powerful text of the Haiku.

I hope you enjoy my efforts today and look for more Digital Nature Journaling from me in this format as I continue to get...

  1. Nice photos. More kinds of birds than I would have thought for this cold time of the year.
